"Night at the Museum"

In the night from May 15 to 16 May 2010 Moscow State United Museum-Reserve participated in the annual, cultural and educational "Night at the Museum".

Everybody were free to visit the exhibitions of Kolomenskoye, Izmailovo and Lublino.

 

Kolomenskoye

In the Kazansky garden was the action “Garden in the Candlelight”

The cool spring night, the candle flame in stone candleholders, shades of old apple trees shrouded in a veil of white flowers ... At night, all is magical and mysterious ...

An unusual nocturnal walk expected the visitors in the Kazansky garden in the candlelight which plunges into "the era of poetry garden".

 

Izmailovo

“Night at the Opera”.

Visitors could see and hear loved and popular films, operas, which were shown on the big screen inside the architectural ensemble of a Kare of the XVII century.

 

Historic mansion Liublino

In the Rose Hall of the Nickolay Durasov’s palace was a festive program "Music of curiosities or a collection of rarities. Part I ». There were rarely performed vocal and piano works of various genres. The speakers were the winners of international competitions - Valentine Markelova (soprano) and Natalia Korshunova (piano). There were works of Federico Tosti, Antonio Salieri, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninov, Alexander Grechaninov, as well as Russian romances.

The program "Music of curiosities or a collection of rarities. Part II » continued in the Marble Hall of the Nickolay Durasov’s palace. Visitors of the museum were presented a fascinating excursion into the history of music and the visual embodiment of different musical styles and genres (dance music, blues, classical, ethnic music).

The ballet "The Lick" took part in the program.
